Reviews of Behringer CT100 Cable Tester Feature: This test everything, XLR, 1/4", 3.5mm, midi, rca, and TT. Nice "intermitent short" feature is good for diagnosing loose connections that sometimes work, and sometimes don't. Also can test installed cables, provided you have a "short" plug installed on the other end of the cable. Test tone feature is also pretty usefull. Quality: Very tough, thick metal, I have dropped this numerous times and it still works great. Batteries last a LONG time in it too. Value: Seeing as this is pretty much the exact same item as EBTECH's Swizz Army cable tester, which cost $129 and this is only $39, this is a great deal. Desirability: Other sound techs I work with are jealous of it and want there own. They are often surprised when I tell them how inexpensive it is. Sound: Well, the only sounds this generates are test tones, and those sound pretty good. Support: I haven't had any problems with this, but behringer support tends to be very prompt and helpful. Overall: I don't know how much time this thing has saved me, but it has been a lot. Definitely a wise purchase for anyone working with many cables. Much more convenient then carrying a multimeter around to check continuity in cables.
