Reviews of Fender Vintage Reissue '65 Deluxe Reverb Guitar Amplifier (22 Watts, 1x12 in.)

Feature:
Everything I wanted (except a rear mounted outlet) and nothing I didn't want.

Quality:
OK - how do you get as good as the point to point wiring of the original?

Value:
A deal like this doesn't come very often, unless your the guy I sold my Super to.

Desirability:
Yeah!

Sound:
Oh...As was, the sound was the classic Fender clean sound that I grew up with (in the '60's, I had a Super Reverb....wish I still had it!) I was looking to replace it, with the surf sound but something lighter and not as powerful...you know us 'boomers are getting arthritis now... So I found a blond RI with a torn grill cloth and dead reverb in a store and they wanted $450...I know, but I was there first. The reverb was a broken wire on the springs; 10 minutes and it was fixed. Then, looking for a little more punch, I replaced the original speaker with a Jensen RI P12R Alnico(MCM electronics...very reasonable, but it still wasn't the sound I was looking for. So then I got motivated, and built a baffle board that allowed me to mount two 10" speakers (Jensen RI, C10R) wired in parallel and...WOW....it has all the punch of the Super (at low volumes of course) and breaks up real good! Why don't more people do this?>

Support:
Haven't had to use them.

Overall:
Well, it's still isn't my '68 Super, but almost as good.
