Reviews of Gibson Hound Dog Squareneck Series Dobro (with Gig Bag) Feature: The guitar's pickup stinks, maybe needs to be setup up differently than how it comes from the factory though. Quality: the wood is very nice looking, since it doesn't have bindind our soundhole covers it has a vinage look. Value: a good gibson dobro for 800$ is hard to beat since most nice resonator guitars cost at least twice that much. This is a very good giutar for starters or for traveling. It doesn't come with a hard case though. Desirability: Its good if you like bluegrass I guess. Although there are much nicer resonators you can buy if you have the money Sound: This guitar gets a more bluesier sound than a beard or scheerhorn guitar. you can get some really good steel guitar sounds out of it.
