Reviews of Korg ESX1 Electribe SX Production Sampler
Feature: seems like a really usefull machine, i'd probably buy one if wouldn't have to spray it, replace all knobs with proper ones, paint or replace the pads, disable the blinking, print new fonts on top, etc etc.
Quality: Why the hell does everything "made for dance music" have to look like some techno-toy from Star Wars? is this suppose to be appealing to anyone above 20? I mean, what's the target group here? —15 year old kids with dj-dreams and a large bank account? The designers on Korg and AKAI (the new mpc-1000 looks like total crap too) should think again! They've done everything wrong: the pink-red color, the toy-like blinking, the wack typography (except for the regular Futura–thats good thinking), the rubbish quallity "303 cloned knobs" uh.. I feel so tired. Why don't they ever make something nice and clean for a change? Look too the things people actually like. Just make a serious analyze. This thing looks like some cheap piece of crap for kids. But, yeah, it definitely "rocks", but who wants that for a sampler?
Sound: the fx sounds great. filters ok.. the tube is alright i guess.
Support: dunno..
