Reviews of Marshall Electronics MXL2003 Studio Condenser Microphone with Shock Mount Overall: I use this mic for a ton of stuff in a home recording atmosphere: an overhead for cymbals/drums, vocals, acoustic guitar, percusssion, etc. Even without a pre-amp, it delivers powerful, smooth vocals, and the job it does on my buddy's $130 Yamaha acoustic makes it sound like a $2,000 Martin! Yes, you could spend a ton more to get a "better" mic, but this product gives you infinitely more performance than the price suggests.
