Reviews of SM Pro Audio TB202 2-Channel Tube Microphone Preamp/Compressor Feature: The Equalization is the best feature. I like being able to adjust and equalize my microphone like a mixer. The only thing that it doesn't have is de-essing but this preamp sounds so clear I don't really think it even needs de-essing. I was really impressed. Quality: Nothing has broken on me yet. Everything looks built really well.Nice Maroon finish. Value: Excellent value, this definitely rivals the Focusrite optical preamps and is $400 cheaper. Desirability: This will bring you the big sound you have been searching for in professional recordings. You Want It!!! Sound: This product has an excellent smooth sounding compression. I tried it with the Behringer B-1 and it sounded exceptional for a budget microphone like that. The Slow Release setting is the best if you really want to make a certain instrument stand out. Support: Never had to contact them at all. Overall: I would definitely replace it with another one exactly the same. My recordings havent been better. I own an A.R.T. MP studio and that is retired in the closet forever.
