Reviews of Zoom MRS8 Digital Multi-Track Recorder Feature: drum and base sounds built in the unit. the base sound could be a little better but the drums are perfect. Quality: seems sturdy i guess we will see Value: for the money nothing comes close Desirability: I have it and it is worth the money Sound: I bought this product to do some basic recording on the fly and for laying ideas down in the living room. I have a small studio which my main recorder is the roland 2480. this mrs-8 for the money is incredable. the drum sounds are cd quality and the base sound aren't bas either. the effects, for the money are great,if you go in and tweak them a little. A great unit for laying ideas down and using the drum and base sound on you real recording. Yeah this is only 350 bucks but in this case I think you get alot for the money. The peamps aren,t this best but they aren,t the worst either. Before going to cd just warm everything up with a tube preamp and you can get some great recording out of this unit. It is hard to beat for the money. The unit has some weight to it and the sliders feel good. I hope this helps people who are on the fence about this unit and give it a shot.
